What you must show
The essentials
Passport valid 60+ days past the permit end, 4 biometric photos, e-ikamet form, notarized rental contract or title deed (proof of address), Turkish private health insurance for the full term, a Turkish tax number, and bank statements (last 3 months) showing the income above.
The 90/180 rule
Tourists get 90 days in any 180. Overstaying risks fines, deportation and re-entry bans — apply before your 90 days run out.
💡 New for 2026 — UETS: the National Electronic Notification System is now mandatory for renewals/transfers. Register at any PTT (post office) with your passport, a Turkish mobile number and an active email before you file.
